Field Location: Forooz B Gas field is located in Persian Gulf between Kish and Siri islands, 120 km from Qeshm and 30 km southeast of Kish island.

Capacity: 1 billion cubic feet of Natural Gas from the field, the daily production of gas Condensate is 17,000 barrels, the daily production of sulfur is 500 tons, and the daily production of LPG is 1,300 tons.

And the production of Sales Gas will be 870 million cubic feet per day.

Gas in place: This field was discovered in 1970 and the gas in this field is about 28 trillion cubic feet and its gas condensate reserve is estimated at 180 million barrels.

Forooz B Scope of Work

Ø Drilling a Delineation Well(+ second well if necessary),

Ø Twelve production wells (including two appraisal wells) in the offshore

Ø Engineering, Procurement, construction and installation of offshore facilities including two gas production platforms with all relevant accessories and pipelines between them.

Ø Performing of 32-inch and 4.5-inch marine pipelines each with an approximate length of 180 kilometers, and a Jetty for exporting gas condensates and related pipelines.

Ø Performing process and utilities for gas processing and natural gas sweetening, gas condensate, propane and butane in the onshore.

Ø Storage, Jetty and export of sulfur, propane and butane

Forooz B Gas Field History

Ø This field was discovered in 1970.The Gas in Place of the Field is about 28 trillion cubic feet and its Gas Condensate reserve is estimated about 180 million barrels. According to this forecast, with the daily withdrawal of 1 billion cubic feet of crude gas from the Field, the daily production of Gas Condensate will be 17,000 barrels, the daily production of Sulfur will be 500 tons, the daily production of LPG will be 1,300 tons, and the Sales Gas will be 870 million cubic feet per day.

Ø In 2013, due to the fact that the priority of the Ministry of Oil was changed to the development of the joint Fields, unfortunately, despite Mapna’s efforts, the Development of this Field along with 16 other independent Fields has been withdrawn.
